Summer is all about living freely with fun plans and lots of social occasions, yet with what feels like an abundance of time and no ideas of what to do with it, the warm weather can get wasted under the lack of ideas. Here's how to keep your summer alive and kicking, and make sure you're as buzzed as the bees in the fresh air. Forget the instagram shots of far away destinations, there are other more unconventional ways to enjoy yourself...

So it's the next instalment of my February reviews, apologies that it's a little late... the calendar is working against me on this one! As I mention at the start of this video, there is a final chapter to my trio of February videos and that is my vegan food empties (wow that sounds really gross, however I promise it isn't1) Don't forget as always to give the video some love by giving it a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel if you haven't already!

FEBRUARY 2016 FAVOURITES • LIFESTYLE

So I promised that I would upload a 'proper' video and here it is! You can probably tell that I was slightly nervous whilst filming this and not at all helped by the fact that I had my braces altered and tightened so much that I barely speak properly! But never the less... I said I would start making 'sit down' videos for you and I have. What are you're thoughts on the sofa? Do we like this set up? Let me know by leaving me a thumbs up and subscribing to my channel!

A Letter To My Younger Self • LIFESTYLE

Image is not my own - sourced from my tumblr
We've all had hopes, had dreams, difficult times in our lives, things that we thought would pan out differently. If we could go back in time are there things we would do differently or simply things we would tell ourselves, knowing what we know now? What would you say the key messages were that really summed up what's important to life? I decided to write myself a letter, based on my current state of life and reminding myself that it's all going to be okay.

Personal Reflection - What Do You Want? The Quarter Life Crisis • LIFESTYLE

Photograph of me by Lucy Alice Burt
I've always wanted to be someone who achieves. For me completing something gives me the satisfaction that I am 'on track' somehow, and I crave that need to have things done and sorted. However as I approach my twentieth birthday this year, I've come to a huge crossroad in my life, where the plan I've always been working towards and the goals I've been achieving are slowly becoming less and less as dreamy and desirable as I thought. Suddenly I'm one of the many who are now entering the quarter life crisis.

The Perfect Film For Valentines Day... About Time Review • LIFESTYLE

Image is not my own, courtesy of Universal Pictures.

The idea of a cosy night in with a romantic film, some take-away food and a couple of candles, may sound more like your type of Valentines Day, but with the enormous amount of choice when it comes to the classic romantic comedy, it can be hard to find the right one for a night in with your partner. Entering one of my favourite films... About Time, a sweet film that blurs Richard Curtis' skilled proficiency in creating romantic classics such as Love Actually and Notting Hill and the hard to master science fiction. For 2 hours and 4 minutes, the 2013 release takes you on an emotional roller coaster of laughter, crying, self-evaluation and motivational inspiration.

For me, this is the perfect film to watch with your partner, to really evaluate your own relationship and learn a lot about appreciating their small habits, loving those closest to you more openly and not taking the everyday matters of life for granted.
